Meet Greg
Greg Barnett is an American lawyer with over a decade of experience helping US clients solve complex business and legal problems in Brazil. He has studied, lived, and worked in Brazil and is one of few American lawyers registered with the Brazilian Bar Association as a Foreign Legal Consultant. Throughout his career, he’s helped clients close business transactions exceeding US$3 billion.
Prior to founding Brazil Counsel, Greg managed the international legal services team at a boutique Brazilian law firm in São Paulo. He was also a member of the global practice group at Greenberg Traurig, one of the largest law firms in the world. During law school, Greg worked at the US State Department and the Department of Homeland Security.
Greg has a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, DC, and a master’s degree in International Law from the Universidad para la Paz in Costa Rica. He is licensed to practice law in Florida and Minnesota.

+ Do you only accept American clients?
We require that all clients have a US government issued photo ID such as a passport or state driver's license as well as a US or Brazilian address and telephone number.
+ How do you charge for your services?
We charge a recurring monthly flat fee for most of our services. This eliminates any concerns that clients may have about unexpected charges. You'll know how much you'll pay each month and can budget accordingly. Billing is automatic and can be cancelled at any time.
+ What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payment by credit card only.
